The Echoes of Akkad

"Deep within the silent canyons lies the entrance to a civilization time chose to forget."

This is a concept art piece focused on atmosphere, scale, and the architectural language of ancient Mesopotamia blended with fantasy elements. My main goal was to play with framing and lighting to create a sense of discovery.
I used a cave entrance as a natural frame to direct the viewer’s eye toward the monumental temple and the hazy, sprawling city in the background. The silhouette in the foreground serves as a surrogate for the viewer, emphasizing the overwhelming scale of the ruins.
