Environment Sketch: Lighting & Value Study

An exploration of lighting, values, and painterly brushwork. The main goal was to lead the viewer's eye using a strong focal point created by high contrast and saturated colors in the center. I experimented with textured brushes to give the landscape a more traditional, expressive feel.
